Investors Lose Rs 6 lakh Crore in Today’s Trading Session
Sensex slipped by over 1,100 points in early trade after the US Federal Bank took a cautious stance on further rate cuts. The US Fed slashed interest rates by 25 bps or 0.25%. In today’s trading session, investor’s wealth eroded by ₹6.57 lakh crore to ₹446.03 lakh crore. While Sensex was down by 1162 pts to 79,020, Nifty traded in red at 23,944, down 259 points.

Top losers
Stocks including Asian Paints, M&M, Tata Steel, Bajaj Finserv, Infosys, IndusInd Bank, HDFC Bank, and Tech Mahindra fell 2.09% in the early session. In a nutshell, all stocks in Sensex were trading in red.
Stocks hit 52-week low
As per BSE data, close to 79 stocks hit their 52-week highs today, while 45 shares fell to their 52-week lows.
Stocks in red
Out of 3,342 stocks, 2,263 stocks were trading in the red, while 970 stocks were trading in green, the remaining 109 stocks remained unchanged.
FII-DII sell-off
Foreign institutional investors pulled out nearly ₹1316.81 crore, while domestic investors bought equities worth ₹4,084.08 crore, NSE data showed.
